Letter about visiting the Crown Prince in Tabriz
The writer talks about his mission to Tabriz and visit to the Crown Prince [Muzaffar al-Din Mirza], how this mission had failed and the Crown Prince had refused to see him, saying that he did not need a tutor. He describes the Crown Prince's outrage and adds that Shukuh al-Saltanah knew all along that this mission was doomed to fail. He then gives an account of how he had paid his debts to the butcher, the grocer, and the draper before leaving Tabriz as well as his meeting with Zill al-Sultan. Daughters of Saʻid al-Mulk to Nasir al-Din Shah and Anis al-Dawlah, [late 19th century]
The item consists of two letters enclosed in the same envelope and written by Khanum Shahzadah (Khvurshid Taj) and Amirzadah Khanum (Qamar Taj), daughters of Saʻid al-Mulk, to Anis al-Dawlah and Nasir al-Din Shah. Through the mediation of Anis al-Dawlah, favorite wife of Nasir al-Din Shah, they petition Nasir al-Din Shah to bestow their father's title on Mirza Salih Khan Muʻtamad Divan.
